Crash course in accessible gaming


This is an in-person workshop.

This workshop is a hands on introduction to accessible gaming, from software to hardware. We will explore some of the guidelines of accessible gaming, navigate accessibility menus in groundbreaking games, and set up accessible gaming equipment. If you are curious about how to customize gaming equipment, game design, or just want to learn while playing video games, this workshops will be perfect for you!

By the end of the workshop, you will be able to:

  • Analyze potential accessibility issues in video games
  • Setup an accessibility configuration through console level and game level accessibility menus
  • Design a custom accessible gaming setup for multiple gaming consoles
  • Propose design changes to software and hardware based on accessibility needs
