MySQL is a database management system (DBMS) that allows one to store, retrieve, analyze, and manage data in tabular formats. SQL is one of the most popular and widely used programming language that enables these functions in a DBMS. This iSkills workshop will teach you the basics of SQL and MySQL, and equip you to quickly understand advanced concepts in database management.By the end of this workshop, you’ll be able to;
- Understand general terms associated with database management (such as different types of database models, servers, clients, etc.)
- Formulate SQL queries to perform common data operations such as create, insert, delete, filter, group, and combine.
- Use different data types effectively in designing databases.
Participants must install MySQL on their device prior to this workshop.
