It’s that time of the semester, and the Art & Mindfulness team is offering an opportunity for students to de-stress through art. Please join them for their Art & Mindfulness exhibition programming, led by artist Kanika Gupta. Participants will have the option of sharing their work to be featured in the Art & Mindfulness exhibition and Kanika’s future shows.
Experiencing art as a tool for mindfulness
Using Kanika’s artistic approach, this hands-on immersive activity invites participants to examine and re-imagine the parts that make us whole. Participants will engage first-hand in the process of finding new ways to put their pieces together in an artful, creative and insightful form of recovery for the pain that may still exist in their lives. Shape, form and function will be explored through the creation of 3-dimensional works of art.
Kanika Gupta is a multidisciplinary artist and social entrepreneur who uses visual art, writing and storytelling to create dialogue to generate greater compassion for what it means to be human. Kanika’s work has been presented in curated public art installations at Union Station and Gardiner Museum and exhibited in galleries across Toronto.
