A BIPOC-only discussion for Canadian library workers/library students will take place Monday, Nov 23, 12 – 1:00 PM. The event is intended to give current and future BIPOC library workers the space to share their experiences, challenges, and support one another.
“We invite all BIPOC library workers to attend this BIPOC-only conversation to share our experiences navigating these spaces, to reflect, and, echoing Lydia XZ Brown
, “to hold space for each other”.
This BIPOC-only session will be facilitated by Oy Lein Jace Harrison (Ryerson University | Federation of Black Canadians) & Abeer Siddiqui (McMaster University). This session precedes another open discussion for all library workers interested in learning more about effective allyship on November 30th.
