For the first time ever, the Museum Studies Student Association at the University of Toronto is hosting a Women in Leadership Panel at the iSchool. There will be four special panelists joining the event on Friday, February 9th from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm at the Inforum open event space. Musings Editor in Chief, Serena Ypelaar, will guide our panelists in the discussion.
Many class discussions return to gender dynamics in the museum sector and the fact that women experience many challenges when working towards a level of leadership. It is clearly an important topic for our students, and we, as a student association, are strong advocates for the women in our program and in the cultural and heritage sectors. We want to promote workplace equality and present opportunities for discussion to our peers.
A discussion on the challenges, successes, and the future of women in museum leadership.
