Foundations of cloud technologies: Understanding the basics of the cloud

Interested in getting involved in the cloud, but don’t know where to start? This workshop, designed for beginners, provides a foundational overview of the main cloud offerings: GCP, AWS, Azure. In this workshop, we will specifically explore AWS and discuss fundamental cloud services such as elastic container services, virtual private cloud (VPC), and storage. All participants must register a free AWS account prior to this workshop, but knowledge of cloud is not a prerequisite.

In this workshop, students will:

Learn the basics of cloud offerings
Practice using the underlying technologies of main cloud offerings (GCP, AWS, Azure)
Understand key technical concepts underlying cloud services
