Introduction to bookbinding

This is an in-person workshop.

This workshop will introduce students to different methods for constructing books and explore a range of historical binding styles. Students will be introduced to practical bookbinding skills – sewing their own pamphlet binding.

Students will learn to:

• Recognize book construction methods
• Classify binding styles according to construction method
• Produce their own pamphlet binding
