Libraries are about people. Serving our community is at the heart of what we do. This position is a part-time permanent role reporting to the Manager of Community Engagement and Marketing. This role is responsible for facilitating online and in-person programs and outreach services to community members of all ages under the direction of senior staff. They represent the library at multiple community outreach events in alignment with library goals, promote services and programs, present at events, respond to client requests for information about library services and materials. Leveraging existing experience working with equity seeking groups (individuals, community group and agencies), they are a champion for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion priorities as it pertains to partnerships aimed at enhancing internal and external community engagement efforts. They support the creation of high-quality client experiences and maintains a positive and safe environment for all participants and facilitate client-centered.
