Job Description

Qualifications:

Seeking a Master of Information (MI) student in the ARM concentration. The potential candidate can be a full- or part-time student; preference will be given to a student with strong research and organizational skills and experience conducting literature reviews. Knowledge of equity, diversity, inclusion, and decolonization/reconciliation frameworks is an asset.

RA responsibilities:

The RA will report primarily to Karen Suurtamm, Assistant Professor (Teaching Stream) at the Faculty of Information. The selected candidate will work closely with Karen to locate and write an annotated bibliography of recent literature in archives and records management that relates to several identified themes, including material that aligns with EDI and reconciliation frameworks. Specific duties include:

  • Reading the current draft of the ARM learning outcomes
  • Searching for relevant literature
  • Writing a thematically-organized annotated bibliography
  • Providing advice and guidance based on the research
  • Meeting regularly with Prof. Suurtamm

Duration: November 2021 to April 2022
Hours: 10 hrs/week, with some flexibility
Pay/Compensation: $25.00 (+ 4% vacation pay)
