Digital Projects Assistant Work-Study Position, September 12, 2022 to February 17, 2023 (possibility of extension to April 2023)The Digital Projects Assistant will be a core member of the communications team for the Critical Digital Humanities Initiative (CDHI), directed by Prof. Elspeth Brown. The Digital Projects Assistant will work directly with the CDHI Managing Director and the Event and Program Coordinator and will have the opportunity to work collaboratively with other members of the CDHI team.The CDHI Managing Director will work with the successful candidate to develop a work schedule. The work schedule will include three two-hour shifts per week, plus up to four flexible hours. The Digital Projects Assistant will receive training and mentoring from the Managing Director, as well as the Event and Program Coordinator. This position will be hybrid, with in-person work at UTM or at St. George, depending on the student.Responsibilities • Play a key role in updating and managing database of Digital Humanities projects at University of Toronto • Editing DH project descriptions for clarity and consistency • Updating and adding DH project descriptions on CDHI website • Engaging with interdisciplinary research teams, including professors and graduate students • Maintaining and updating files on SharePoint • Assist with CDHI events and programs, including Critical Digital Humanities International Conference (Sept 30 and Oct 1) • Collaborating with other CDHI team members Qualifications/Skills/Experience We encourage applications from marginalized communities including those who identify as Indigenous, lesbian/queer women, trans, non-binary, gender non-conforming, Black, people of colour, and persons with disabilities. Eligibility: Undergraduate degree students must be enrolled in at least 2.0 FCE (full course equivalent) during Fall/Winter session. Graduate degree students must be registered for the Fall/Winter session.
