The Lennox and Addington County Museum and Archives, Napanee, Ontario, is dedicated to the preservation and access of heritage objects and archival records that represent the history of the County. We require a student Archives Assistant to aid in the digitization of our collection. The student Archives Assistant will be responsible for digitizing archival records and undertaking research to support the historical story and significance of the records, all within the archival discipline and best practices. This position is ideal for individuals interested in archival work, primary research in Canadian history, digitization processes and accessibility, and anyone interested in a career in a cultural heritage institution. Applicants must be enrolled in studies or graduated in the last 6 months.
The position runs from July 13, 2020 – August 28, 2020. Hours are 9:00 am – 5:00 pm, Monday – Friday (35 hours per week)
