Job Title: Coordinator, Information Services (Part Time)

Through the demonstration of strong customer service skills, an ability to articulate library policies and to positively interact with customers of all ages and backgrounds, the Coordinator, Information Services will be responsible for providing a variety of public services.
Reporting directly to the Manager, Information Services, you will be responsible for providing public services including reference assistance, readers’ advisory, and user-support of library technologies and digital resources. The Coordinator is also tasked with the ongoing maintenance and promotion of adult collections.
The Ideal Candidate
We are seeking an energetic professional with training and knowledge in the above, normally acquired through a post-graduate master’s degree in library and Information Studies/Science, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Our ideal candidate has 1 year of library experience and 2 years in a customer-focused setting along with Standard First Aid and CPR “C” certification with AED.
The ideal candidate will have demonstrated excellent interpersonal skills. We are seeking an individual with superior verbal and written communication skills, a demonstrated ability to make decisions involving routine tasks, and to display sound judgment in decision making.
This position offers a wage starting at $33.65/hr.
Satisfactory passing of a vulnerable sector check, and proof of qualifications will be required of any successful candidate(s) for this position.
