Manager, Clemens Mill (Full Time, 14 Month Contract)

Are you eager to work in a progressive library environment where innovation and change are a way of life? Idea Exchange is currently seeking a Manager for our Clemens Mill location. Clemens Mill is a combined library facility serving both the students of St. Benedict Catholic Secondary School and the broader community of Clemens Mill.
As the Manager, Clemens Mill, you will be responsible for the daily operations of the branch. You will provide leadership and supervision to the staff as well as build and maintain relationships with the St. Benedict staff and administration and with the community as a whole. Working with the Director, Programming and Promotion and Manager, Youth Services, you will ensure the location provides a robust, innovative and inspiring roster of programs and special events. You will be responsible for the operating effectiveness of the branch and ensure it is aligned with Idea Exchange’s vision, mission and goals.
To be qualified for the role, you will have a Master’s Degree in Library Science from an accredited library school, or equivalent, and a minimum of 3 years in a managerial, supervisory or leadership position.
This is a full-time, 14 month contract position where you will work approximately 70 hours in a bi-weekly period. The position may require work from multiple branch locations within Cambridge. The starting schedule is Monday – Friday, 9:30 a.m. – 5:30 p.m. Evening and weekend shifts may be required where necessary. The starting schedule is subject to change.
