The Faculty of Information’s Master of Information Student Council (MISC), Master of Museum Studies Student Association (MUSSA), and the Equity, Diversity & Inclusion Unit (EDIU) invite you to attend Activate: iConference 2023, in person for the first time since 2019.
The theme for this year is information activism and how it is used to disrupt, shift or otherwise alter existing practices in information spaces and GLAM institutions. The conference will feature 15 student presentations, lightning talks, panel discussions, and a keynote speaker.
We are delighted to announce Armando Perla as the keynote speaker this year. Armando Perla (They/them, He/him) is a queer mestizo independent curator and museum consultant of Nahua and European descent working in Canada and abroad.
