Building a recommendation system with Machine Learning
Concentration: ISD
Time: 12:00pm – 4:00pm
Location: Burnhamthorpe Library, 1350 Burnhamthorpe Road East, Mississauga, ON L4Y 3V8

Description: This workshop will focus on the practical applications of machine learning in real-world recommendation systems (i.e. Netflix, Amazon). The workshop will go through the applications of recommendation systems and the statistics and machine learning behind them.

Portfolio Project: Students will develop a Collaborative Filtering system from scratch and use it to develop a recommendation system for 500 online products!
