Fall 2018 iSkills Workshops

Submitted on Tuesday, September 11, 2018

Registration for Fall 2018 iSkills workshops are open. Workshop topics range from Artificial Intelligence, Omeka, and Digital Preservation, to Python, Museums and Gaming, and more!

For helpful scheduling purposes, please refer to the Fall 2018 iSkills Brochure

The registration system that we use hosts a calendar; thus, workshops can be viewed by day, list, or month.

To ensure that our limited workshops seats are solely filled by Faculty of Information students and alumni, the link to the registration system will not and should not be publicly posted. As such, please bookmark the registration link below.  Our workshops will run in September and October.

  • To register visit
  • Make sure to enter your email address correctly when you register, as any updates to workshop sessions will be sent through the system
  • If a workshop is full, be sure to sign up for the waitlist, as we add sessions to the fall and winter roster based on numbers of those who are on the waitlist

Each registration confirmation email contains a link to use to withdraw.  As such, make sure you have entered your email address correctly, as well as keep and/or flag each confirmation email to ensure you have the withdrawal link should something arise.

A reminder email will be sent 3 days in advance of the workshop.

Should you fail to withdraw at least 48+ hours in advance, thereby preventing your colleagues on the waitlist from filling in your spot, your library account will be charged $10 per missed workshop session.

Please note, it is your responsibility to sign next to your name on the attendance sheet for each workshop session you attend.  A blank signature spot will result in a penalty charge.

After each workshop we ask for your feedback. Your input is important to us and we take it seriously; thus, it is used to shape future iterations of each workshop.  Please take the time to tell us what worked and where there are opportunities for development.

Did you miss a workshop or misplace a workshop handout?  Are you still interested in the material?  If so, check the table on the iSkills webpage for available handouts and presentation materials. Workshop materials are generally posted as soon as possible following the last session of a workshop. Materials from previous terms can be accessed by changing the year and term in the drop-down menus on that page.
