Submitted on Monday, May 28, 2018

All students are invited to participate in the newly founded International Library and Information Science Student Association. This organization is the culmination of eight months of collaboration between two students at Emporia State University’s School of Library and Information Management (Emporia, Kansas, USA).

The purpose of the organization is to facilitate discussion among library and information science students across the globe and to promote student teaching and scholarship.

Currently, they have a Facebook group which can be found here: https://www.facebook.com/groups/258766528025274/

The primary language of the group is English, but users are free to post in whatever language they feel most comfortable using. For those that do not have a Facebook account but would like to be connected you may send an email to the coordinators Brady Lund: blund2@g.emporia.edu or Daniel Agbaji: dagbaji@g.emporia.edu and they will add you to their mailing list.

A website is set to be available early this week. The opening of the website will be announced on Facebook.  Please contact the coordinators for more information.
