Museum Studies students want to know your passenger rail stories

Submitted on Thursday, January 13, 2022

“Getting Back on Track: The Changing Role of Passenger Rail in Southern Ontario” is a digital exhibition project being created by four Master of Museum Studies students at the Faculty of Information at the University of Toronto, in collaboration with the Toronto Railway Museum.

This interactive exhibition will share stories of railway passengers across Southern Ontario. Virtual visitors of all ages will explore the fluctuating growth of Ontario’s railways and how they’re likely to evolve in the future.

Through the survey found at this link, they hope to uncover diverse passenger perspectives on how rail travel has changed since the 1970s.

Unless otherwise indicated, please disregard any impact from the COVID-19 pandemic when considering your ridership habits.

The Toronto Railway Museum regularly partners with Museum Studies to exhibit student projects.
