OCULA Spring Conference 2018 – Call for Proposals

Building Better Libraries Through Diversity, Equity & Inclusion

All are invited to attend the 2018 Ontario College and University Library Association (OCULA) Spring Conference. This year’s Conference will be held Friday, May 4th, 2018, at the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education (OISE) Library in downtown Toronto.

They are currently accepting proposals for 7-minute lightning talks. Topics might include:

  • Library initiatives to increase and support diversity, equity and inclusion
  • Diversity, equity and inclusion in hiring, retention, and promotion practices
  • Collection development that reflects the diversity of people and ideas in our communities
  • Inclusive and accessible library services, spaces, and programming
  • Challenges in achieving diversity, equity and inclusion in our libraries

Submissions must be submitted here and will close at 5 p.m. Friday March 2, 2018
