Event: The Art of Skepticism in a Data-Driven World

As part of the Data Sciences Speaker Series, Prof. Jevin West from the Information School at the University of Washington will be discussing The Art of Skepticism in a Data-Driven World.

The talk, co-sponsored by the Data Sciences Institute and the Faculty of Information, takes place on: 

 Monday January 23, 11:00 a.m. to  12 p.m., at the Bissell Building, 140 St. George St. You can register here.

Graduate students are also invited to join a “Meet the investigator” lunch after the talk at 12:30 p.m. This lunch meeting offers graduate students an opportunity to engage with the speaker about their research  and professional and career experiences.  Space for the lunch is limited so if you wish to attend, please RSVP by filling out this form by January 18.
