Cansu Ekmekcioglu is a PhD candidate at the Faculty of Information. Her research draws on critical data studies, human-computer interaction, and public policy to explore accountability practices in migration and humanitarian contexts. Her work has been funded by the Ontario Graduate Scholarships for the period of 2023-2024. Cansu has been awarded the Mary H. Beatty Fellowship for 2021-2022 and is a recipient of the ASIS&T New Leader Award for 2023.
