Dawn Walker is a PhD candidate at the Faculty of Information. Her research focuses on values and social transformation in the design of (web) decentralization projects. Her previous research investigated how co-design and community mapping increases participation in urban agriculture projects. She completed her Master’s of Information at the University of Toronto in 2016 and also holds an Honours Bachelor of Arts with Distinction in Philosophy and History.
Dawn is the recipient of a SSHRC Doctoral Fellowship (2018–21), the Ontario Graduate Scholarship (2016–17, 2017–18), Gordon Cressy Student Leadership Award (2016), and the Citizen Lab Award (2015).
