Lauren (she/her) is a sonic researcher, sound media producer, and a doctoral student in the Media, Technology, and Communication concentration with the Faculty of Information. She received her Master of Arts in Communication from Simon Fraser University, where she researched noise-cancelling headphones as an extension of neoliberal values, exploring this critique in conversation with Indigenous theory. Her current doctoral research focuses on sonification as voice production in relation to Indigenous media and research creation.
