Kruskaya Hidalgo Cordero

Kruskaya Hidalgo Cordero is a feminist, queer researcher whose interdisciplinary work explores platform economies, care work, and decolonial methodologies. She is an incoming PhD student at the Faculty of Information, University of Toronto, where she is a Junior Fellow at Massey College and a Connaught International Scholar. She is the founder of the Observatorio de Plataformas (ODP).

Kruskaya has studied and worked across Latin America, Europe, and North America, advancing gender and labor justice. She holds an MA in Gender Studies from Central European University and was an Atlantic Fellow for Social and Economic Equity (AFSEE) at the London School of Economics. She is a member of Tierra Común and the Latin American Feminist AI Network, and is affiliated with the Platform Work Inclusion Living Lab (P-WILL). Her current research project, furIA, centers on the co-design of AI with trans sex workers in Ecuador.
