Purpose and Eligibility
Awarded to a Master of Information student with a demonstrated interest in biomedical or health sciences, such as: having worked or volunteered in health sciences libraries; obtained an undergraduate degree in biomedical/biology/life sciences; worked in a healthcare setting; taken course(s) in healthcare-related disciplines, for example, health informatics, health research; or in the process of completing a health information related thesis or Co-op / practicum.
Award Value and Duration
Varying amounts. Award disbursements may be split across multiple terms depending on total value.
This award is non-renewable (one year only).

Students apply for this award using the Faculty of Information’s “In Course Award Application” form, (for continuing students who have already completed their first year of study). Applications are available here: In Course Awards Application 2024-25 (Page 1 of 3) (office.com) in late summer and early fall.

Selection Process
