Faculty of Information EDI Fellowship
Purpose and Eligibility
Students receiving this award will be a part of the Faculty commitment to advance EDI initiatives, and play a key role in building relationships amongst various communities within the Faculty, and act as liaisons and bridge builders to support in enacting positives changes in the hopes of fostering a more equitable and inclusive Faculty of Information community.
Awarded to students, enrolled in an Undergraduate or Master’s program at the University of Toronto, on the basis of financial need, and demonstrated involvement and engagement in the areas of equity, diversity, and inclusion.
The selected recipient(s) need to apply for the Equity, Diversity and Inclusion Unit (EDIU) work-study position at the Faculty of Information.
Award Value and Duration
The number and value of this award varies annually and award disbursements may be split across multiple terms depending on total value.
This award is renewable for one year if agreeable by student and Director of Equity, Diversity and Inclusion of the Faculty.
If the award is renewed, then the student will also need to apply for the University of Toronto work-study program in the year the fellowship is renewed in.
How to Apply
Students do not need to apply separately since they are automatically considered for the Fellowship . However, to be automatically considered, students need to ensure that they have applied for the EDIU work-study position before its deadline.

Selection Process
The Equity, Diversity and Inclusion Unit is responsible for the selection and approval of the Fellowship recipients.
Recipient(s) will be informed via email from the Awards Committee (awards.
