Gertrude M. Boyle Memorial Award in Cataloguing
Purpose and Eligibility
This award, set up by Mr. Stephen J. Mathers, is to be awarded annually to a full-time or part-time M.L.S. graduand who has demonstrated a career interest in cataloguing and classification by having taken three or more elective courses in cataloguing, classification, or technical services, and is the graduand who ranks highest within this group of courses.
Award Value and Duration
The value of this award varies annually and in 2024, the amount awarded was $500. This is a one-time only award and only one is given each year.
How to Apply
No application is required as the student with the highest GPA in the required group of courses is automatically considered.
Final transcripts of eligible students are evaluated in advance of the Faculty of Information’s June Convocation Awards Ceremony and Reception. (Students who convocated in the previous November are included.)
