Ontario Library Boards’ Association Award (formerly Ontario Library Trustees Association Award)
Purpose and Eligibility
To be awarded annually to a full-time or part-time MLS graduand who has demonstrated a career interest in library administration by having taken one or more elective courses in Administration-Library and Information Centres, and is the graduand who ranks highest within this group of courses.
Award Value and Duration
The value of this award varies annually and was $500 in June 2024. This is a one-time only award.
How to Apply
No application is required as the student with the highest GPA in the collection of required courses is automatically considered.
Final transcripts of eligible students are evaluated in advance of the Faculty of Information’s June Convocation Awards Ceremony and Reception. (Students who convocated in the previous November are included.)
Selection Process
The successful recipient will be presented with this award during the post-convocation reception and awards ceremony in June. (Students who convocated in the previous November are included in the review process of eligible students.)
