Teaching and Learning in Libraries

Course Description

Librarians engage in pedagogy in various settings for different purposes whether it be teaching a class on information literacy, instructing a workshop on a new tool, or training new staff in their job. This course (INF2101H – Teaching and Learning in Libraries) introduces basic learning theories and pedagogical approaches from the education field that have emerged or are emerging in the library and information science (LIS) profession. In addition, the course takes an applied approach to learning the relevant and current theories and teaching and learning strategies with hands-on exercises and assignments.
