Camellia Zakaria holds a Canada Research Chair (NSERC, Tier 2) in Mobile Health Solutions. Motivated by fostering a healthier society, her research focuses on developing and deploying advanced mobile sensing technologies, as public health’s “eyes and ears”, and reaching communities that cannot afford health resources. A key aspect of this work involves gathering environmental and behavioral data to monitor, analyze and address pressing situational needs.
