Bio
Eric Yu received his PhD in Computer Science from the University of Toronto and was appointed to the Faculty of Information in 1995. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Toronto and a Master’s degree in Computer Science from the University of Waterloo. Previous to his career in academia he held positions in hardware, software, and services development at Bell and Nortel laboratories in Ottawa.
Professor Yu’s research interests lie in the areas of information systems analysis and design, software requirements engineering, knowledge management, and in particular the modelling of technology systems and their social contexts. He has authored or co-authored more than 200 research papers and several books. Professor Yu’s research is funded by the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada.
