Bio
Eshta Bhardwaj is a PhD student at the Faculty of Information researching dataset development and data practices in machine learning and environmental sustainability. Her research explores a variety of related questions in this area including: how dataset development in machine learning research can be improved with the adoption of data curation principles, how to address concerns of fairness, accountability, and transparency in “data work”, and how climate data practices can be established and advanced to facilitate decision-making that invokes greater climate action.
