Bio

Ruty Korotaev is a Ph.D. student at the University of Toronto’s Faculty of Information, specializing in Russian state-funded media and its effects on Russian-speaking diasporic communities. Her research aims to contribute to the growing body of literature surrounding Russian disinformation and the Kremlin’s efforts to engage with the Russian-speaking diaspora through information warfare. Her work has been used to support and advise the Canadian government and various other G7 partners.
