Bio
Denise Birkhofer (PhD Institute of Fine Arts, NYU) is Assistant Professor in the Master of Museum Studies program and Curator at the Art Museum. An art historian and curator with more than 15 years of professional experience in academic art museums, her scholarship focuses on modern and contemporary art and photography of the Americas, women artists, and institutional collecting.
