Bio

Andrea Knight Dolan brings 20 years of industry and academic experience to the University of Toronto’s Faculty of Information, where she teaches courses in user experience (UX) design, research methods, and human–computer interaction. Her work bridges rigorous research with real-world application, preparing students to design digital products and services that are both usable and meaningful.

Before joining the iSchool, Andrea worked as a UX researcher and strategist across the technology, health, and consumer sectors, leading projects on topics ranging from online banking and financial well-being to innovative health and wellness tools. She worked to build and launch many of Google’s 0-to-1 products as a UX researcher and UX manager during her 18 years there. Andrea is particularly passionate about creative research methods, stakeholder collaboration, and helping students develop practical skills alongside critical thinking.

Andrea believes that great UX happens at the intersection of information, technology, and society.
