Bio
Velian Pandeliev holds an M.Sc. in Computer Science (Human-Computer Interaction) from the Department of Computer Science, University of Toronto. His Master’s research on measuring the effects of cognitive health interventions with older adults was conducted with Professor Ronald Baecker. He has a background in Cognitive Science and a Bachelor of Arts in Cognition and Computation from Carleton University.
Professor Velian has extensive experience in applied research at the Technologies for Ageing Gracefully Lab, University of Toronto, the Centre for Applied Cognitive Research and the Advanced Cognitive Engineering Lab, Carleton University as well as industry research labs in VMware, HP Inc., and Ubisoft Toronto.
He has been teaching at the University of Toronto since 2011 in the areas of computer science, user interface design, user experience for video games, human-computer interaction, and project management.
