Bio
Heather MacNeil is a professor in the Faculty of Information where she teaches courses in the areas of archival theory and method and histories of records and recordkeeping.
Professor MacNeil’s research revolves around archival histories and theories, archival representational practices, and cross-disciplinary perspectives on record trustworthiness. Her recent research and publications focus on histories and theories of knowledge organization in archives and museums.

- James J. Talman Award, 2015. Awarded annually by the Archives Association of Ontario, “to an individual who has demonstrated an outstanding level of imagination and innovation in contribution to the archival profession.”
