A Taste of Data Analysis: Using data wrangling to answer basic data-driven questions

Interested in data analysis, but don’t know where to start?  This workshop, designed for beginners, provides an overview of data wrangling and transformation. Participants will apply this technique to an Elections Canada dataset and, in so doing, will experience a taste of developing and answering research questions through data analysis.  All participants must download R Studio prior to this workshop, but knowledge of R Studio is not a prerequisite.
In this workshop, you will:
  • Discover how to conduct basic cleaning of data using R
  • Experiment with using raw data to frame and answer research questions
  • Develop an appreciation for data wrangling as a technical concept

Please download the free version of R Studio before attending this workshop.
