Fall Session 2017

July 19 Fall/Winter 2017/18 course enrolment for Second+ year students only begins: 6 a.m. (ACORN time).
July 26 Fall/Winter 2017/18 course enrolment for new/incoming students only begins: 6 a.m. (ACORN time).
August 21 iSchool courses open for enrolment by external students where space permits.
August 25 iSchool Deadline: Coursework must be completed and grades submitted for July-August (S) and May-August (Y) summer session courses.
September 1 Deadline to submit documentation to be reviewed by the Committee on Standing for Spring/Summer courses (May to August).
September 4 Labour Day holiday (University closed).
September 5 SGS Orientation for new students.
September 7 iSchool Orientation Day and General Assembly.
September 8 Coursework must be completed and grades submitted for July-August (S) and May-August (Y) summer session courses and extended courses (Note: iSchool Deadline is September 2, 2016).
September 11 First day of classes.
September 13 Summer session grades available for viewing by students on ACORN/ROSI.
September 15 Final date to submit final doctoral theses to SGS to avoid fee charges for 2016-17.
September 15 Last date for payment of tuition fees or processing of Tuition Fee Deferrals based on government loans/major awards to meet registration deadline.

Registration for fall session ends; after this date, a late registration fee will be assessed.

Minimum required payment due (unpaid fees from previous session(s)+ 100% of current fall session (September to December) tuition fees).

September 17 Final date to complete Cite It Right.
September 25 Final date to add full-year (Y) and fall session (F) courses.
September 30 Remaining fall session (September to December) fees due by this date to avoid incurring service charges , which begin accruing on October 15.

Final date for receipt of degree recommendations and submission of any required theses for master’s degrees for Fall Convocation without fees being charged for the fall session.

August 24 Recommended tuition fee payment deadline for students registering/starting their program in the Fall session to ensure payment is received by September 14th registration deadline and to avoid cancellation of registration and course enrolment. International students must make a payment by this date to ensure coverage by UHIP at the beginning of September.
