The course (INF2176H — Information Management in Organizations – Models and Platforms) covers both theoretical and practical aspects of managing information processes in organizations. In terms of theory, it introduces conceptual frameworks for the management of organizational information processes, including an analysis of their implications for the design and implementation of information systems and services.

On the practical side, the course introduces the capabilities and tools associated with platforms such as the World Wide Web and Intranets to enhance the effectiveness of organizational information processes.

As a course project, students work together to design an Intranet site as a platform for information and knowledge management.
