Access to government careers may seem mysterious and complicated – for good reason! This workshop is a candid and pragmatic insight into the government recruitment programs that provide the best opportunities for students to enter the public service. In this workshop, students will:

  • Learn how to translate academic passions and experiences for a policy environment
  • Hear about the emerging employment trends and valued skills at government agencies
  • Consider how to address ‘bilingual preferred’ roles as English-only applicants
  • Discover unconventional approaches to public service exam prep
  • Design a tailored networking introduction with feedback
  • Receive tips for applications
