Getting a job in tech
The tech industry in Canada is seeing significant growth, particularly in the Toronto area. Toronto having some of the most significant tech job growth throughout North America. These tech jobs can be found in startups, scaleups, in the consulting industry, and often large enterprise organizations. In this iSkills workshop, we’ll discuss tips and strategies on how to get a job in the tech industry. Specifically, we’ll consider:
- The different roles that exist in tech organizations
- The skills and qualifications required for various tech roles
- How one can create and showcase a portfolio
- How to network professionally
