Introduction to Bookbinding

This is an in-person workshop.

Join us for introduction to the Book Arts. We will learn about the tools and materials you’ll need and make some cool books. We’ll concentrate on different styles and construction of books. Once the workshop is completed, you’ll have a stable base to make books the way you want them.

Learning Goals:

  • Review structural and mechanical aspects of the book
  • Understand the methods behind individual techniques for different book styles
  • Apply binding of books using knowledge gained and materials provided
  • Learn more about how the form of the book has evolved in different cultures.
