The ideal candidate will be a content-focused professional with SharePoint experience to be responsible for the day-to-day operation of our refreshed intranet in collaboration with our content and marketing teams.Essential Functions:Content Management– Support and contribute to the final tasks for launching the refreshed intranet, including: content publishing, migration, communication, training, and launch planning– As part of User Acceptance Testing (UAT), ensure content is migrated from existing sources or developed as necessary to allow for full functionality of the new intranet upon launch– Support efforts to maintain strong site navigation plus exceptional search/findability experience for all our users in coordination with the Intranet Steering Committee– Develop and enforce ongoing content governance plans, house style and editorial policies for the migration and ongoing publishing of content, and wider intranet management– Adherence to a high level of accuracy and application of metadata and taxonomy classifications within the new environment for accurate publishing and ongoing searchability– Coordinate and act as specific publisher for ongoing content management efforts for the K+IS Department, and act as back-up publisher for other teams/departments as needed– Act as a central point of contact for publishing, user management and access rights for the intranet– Monitor site analytics and regularly report on key performance indicators– Lead projects to improve sections of the intranet or deliver new tools through the intranetUser & Stakeholder Engagement– Work with Marketing and the Content Committee to publish and manage the proper use of online channels for firm news and events, as well as managing the homepage to maintain a proper balance of content and tools– Coordinate both the Content Committee and Intranet Steering Committee in ongoing updates, design, development and future plans for the intranet– Identify and implement ongoing engagement strategies to increase user participation and use of the intranet– Act as central point of contact for user feedback and ideas plus initial troubleshooting with ITTechnology– Troubleshoot and resolve content, Web Part and technology issues as they arise during the design, development and testing of the content management system within SharePoint– Manage common administrative tasks in SharePoint or liaise with IT around those tasks– Train and support internal Content Committee members on the publishing process for their content in SharePointQualifications:– Bachelor or Master’s degree from a recognized post-secondary institution in information, content or knowledge management– Demonstrated experience working with online content management and publishing tools in an enterprise environment (Intranet, Website, SharePoint, etc.)– Exceptional attention to detail and superior organizational skills is a mandatory requirement– Advanced proficiency in all Microsoft Office tools, in search and retrieval technologies and content management systems– Strong knowledge and skills in document administration and organization– An active problem solver who will find a solution and document those findings for others– Actively enjoy using and exploring the firm’s technologies to find efficiencies and improve the value in our processes, outputs and workflows– Flexible and adaptable with a willingness to learn and share those learnings– Excellent verbal and written communication skills– Demonstrated willingness to continuously improve and learn from others– Service-oriented and a willingness to help: have a team-oriented approach to supporting the wider teams and stakeholders of the intranet– Enjoy executing on ideas to create a positive impact– Ability to be self-directed and to take the initiative– French language skills would be an asset
