Reporting to the Associate Librarian, Collections & Research Services, the successful candidate will work collaboratively with a team of colleagues at the UTM Library to support Teaching, Learning, and Liaison Services for UTM programs in the life and physical sciences as well as programs affiliated with the Mississauga Academy of Medicine. The incumbent will also participate in the planning, delivery, and assessment of research services at the UTM Library. Finally, the successful candidate will also work with colleagues across units and campuses at the University of Toronto by participating on relevant working groups and committees.Required Qualifications:A degree from an accredited Master’s level program in library and information studiesUndergraduate or graduate degree in the health, life, physical or related sciencesDemonstrated commitment to the values of inclusivity, diversity and accessibilityExcellent oral and written communication skills including the ability to communicate with diverse populationsExcellent organizational, problem solving, and project management skillsFamiliarity with in-person and online reference service modelsFamiliarity with approaches to library instruction, both in-person and onlineKnowledge of information literacy and collection development conceptsFamiliarity with the scholarly communication lifecycle and academic library supports in the areas of open science, research data management and knowledge synthesisPreferred Qualifications:Relevant professional experienceSalary and Terms of AppointmentIt is anticipated that this position will be filled at the Librarian I/II level, subject to review and experience.
