What is the opportunity? | Knowledge Management sits within Enterprise Strategy and Transformation (ES&T) under the Chief Administration Office. ES&T is RBC’s internal consulting team, supporting and driving strategic direction for RBC. As a Content Specialist, you will work with the Senior Manager, Knowledge Management to maintain our enterprise-wide self-serve research portal; support and maintain the Strategy Knowledge Repository and Learning Centre; contribute to the growth of the knowledge management program at RBC; and develop and promote a knowledge culture. Note: This position is hybrid. Office location is 181 Bay Street, Toronto. What will you do? – Support the collection and sharing of knowledge & expertise from across the organization. – Support the curation of research & news content. – Establish and maintain relationships with internal clients and stakeholders. – Proactively identify opportunities for process improvement in knowledge related activities. – Collect data from surveys, interviews, site metrics and analyze data to determine best practices or predict future knowledge trends and research areas of interest. – Support the maintenance of taxonomies and controlled vocabularies in the maintenance of our knowledge management systems/platforms. – Help promote knowledge management & create new ways to promote a knowledge culture. – Create training materials & provide ad hoc training for users in support of knowledge management initiatives. What do you need to succeed? Must-have – Self-starter, fast learner, can-do attitude, and ability to work in an ambiguous setting – Strong knowledge of SharePoint 2019 and or SharePoint Online an asset – Strong analytical & problem solving skills – Strong verbal and written communication skills – Strong attention to detail Nice-to-have – Previous knowledge management experience an asset – Experience in business or financial services is an asset – French is an asset – HTML and XML skills an asset – MLIS Student or equivalent (preferred) What’s in it for you?
