With CBVs across Canada and around the world, we uphold the highest standards of business valuation practice through education, accreditation and governance of the CBV profession. CBV Institute is a leader in the international valuation community and is committed to advancing professional excellence for business valuation globally.

CBV Institute is looking to hire a self-motivated summer student to undertake document retention and preservation activities in advance of an office move. Under the supervision of the Manager of Administration, the student will review paper records and undertake the appropriate action (i.e., scan and securely destroy, send off-site, or securely destroy) in accordance with CBV Institute’s document retention practices. The student will have the opportunity to provide expertise in document retention requirements and best practices, and to formalize the Institute’s policies and procedures.

Qualifications:
• An interest in records management and the legal and regulatory requirements related to document retention.
• A high degree of discretion and ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Detail-oriented, organized with a high degree of accuracy.
• Comfortable with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).
• Ability to work independently.

Please note that this is a temporary position for an estimated 10 week term. The student may elect to work 4 or 5 days per week. The nature of the position requires in-office work and manual labor (lifting boxes and scanning materials). To apply, submit your resume and brief statement of interest to: hr@cbvinstitute.com.
