Dr. Tao Wang is an Assistant Professor in the Teaching Stream (CLTA) at the Faculty of Information, University of Toronto. Prior to joining the University of Toronto, he completed a PhD at Simon Fraser University and has taught graduate-level courses at the University of British Columbia.
Dr. Wang’s research delves into the fields of online communication, knowledge management, and behavioral analytics. His work primarily adopts quantitative methods, including natural language processing (NLP) and other machine learning algorithms. Before embarking on an academic career, Dr. Wang accumulated professional experience in various international advertising agencies and served as an entrepreneur for eight years.
