Sexual & gender diversity, inclusion, and the GLAM sector: Principles, approaches, & applications

In this session, facilitated by UofT’s Sexual and Gender Diversity Office, participants will:

Explore key terms and concepts in relation to sexual & gender diversity, including the important distinctions between sex, gender, and sexuality
Examine messages that we receive about sex, gender, and sexuality, how these are shaped by other intersections of identity, and how the GLAM field can play a role in reinforcing and/or challenging these messages
Identify key sites of harm and marginalization for diverse 2SLGBTQ+ people, with an eye on how these emerge within GLAM fields
Assess case scenarios to strategize around strengthening the capacity of GLAM fields to enhance equity and inclusion for diverse 2SLGBTQ+ communities
