Overview

Preparing for a poster presentation can be a daunting task, especially if you’re used to writing academic papers. Fear not! This workshop is designed to support the learner through the entire process of preparing a poster, designing, and presenting. Also, touching on design tools and software and best practices. Providing students with the opportunity to evaluate and analyse many different examples of posters, while exploring design dos and don’ts. Concluding with strategies to prepare for the presentation itself.


Learning Outcomes

The learning outcome of the class is for you to:

    • Articulate best practices in design and layout.
    • Understand the elements that should be included in a research poster Identify tools and software available to create posters.
    • Prepare for presenting research and interacting with attendees.
